I’m so happy you’re here and interested in learning more about me! I’m so passionate about simple, intentional, home-centred living. I love helping people like you to learn new skills, grow in confidence and create a gradual shift towards living the life you imagine for yourself and your family.
I’ve always loved the country lifestyle, having grown up in a tiny town in western Victoria. I’m so lucky to have spent my childhood on land and have so many fond memories with my mum, sister, brother, grandparents, and an ever-growing handful of furry, woolly, and feathered friends. When I turned eighteen, I moved to Melbourne to study and spent the next ten years moving around Victoria, before settling in the north-east.
Grow Food Anywhere
For me, gardening is something that I can’t live without. During my ten years of living in rental properties both in the city and more rurally, I have set up many temporary gardens to grow delicious and nourishing food. I’ve made plenty of valuable mistakes which have helped me learn and improve my skills.
Though sometimes inconvenient to pack up and move, I believe that you create some kind of garden wherever you are, even in a rental property. In fact, I think you can learn so much by having a go and learning what works and what doesn’t along the way. I hope this blog helps to boost your confidence to start a garden and get growing!
Natural Living
My frugal upbringing, love of learning, and mindful nature has inspired me to strive for a simple, sustainable, and conscious way of living. We value real, nutrient dense foods in our home, and cooking from scratch is something I genuinely enjoy.
I share my recipes and frugal tips to help you get more out of your grocery budget and reduce food waste, whilst gaining the nutritional benefits of truly nourishing meals. I also love to share tips on reducing toxins in your home with DIY cleaning and personal care products.
Sustainable Home Build
Since purchasing our quarter-acre block of land, attempting to navigate the construction process, and hearing horror stories of volume builder mishaps, we very quickly realised that we wanted to do things a bit differently. We didn’t want to settle for the ‘cookie-cutter’ style of house, and we definitely didn’t have a huge budget, so we had to get creative. I share our journey from completely blank slate to a custom designed small, simple, sustainable home using reclaimed materials, all without blowing our budget.

If you’re lucky, you might sneak some more glimpses of our very photogenic Australian Kelpie, Gem, hanging out in the garden 😉
